Dr Oz Alternative Medicine Treatments – Recently on the Dr Oz TV Show he talked about alternative medicine treatments naming three that offer a significant degree of relief for a variety of ailments.

The three Dr Oz alternative medicine treatments were a Chinese accupuncture technique called Moxibustion, Rhodiola Rosea supplements and the Himalayan Salt Inhaler.
We looked into all three alternative treatments recommended by Dr Oz, and have outlined below some use and purchase information on each along with pictures and a video.
- Moxibustion accupuncture for back pain relief – video below: This ancient Chinese acupuncture treatment has been around for centuries and involves the burning of mugwort, a small spongy herb, to facilitate healing. Moxa is applied to the acupuncture needles placed in the lower back and then lit, which results in a very mild warming sensation. This activates the nervous system, increasing blood flow and infusing the skin and muscles with the analgesic properties of the herb. As the video states use only a licensed acupuncturist for this alternative treatment.
- Rhodiola Rosea for anxiety and stress relief – All of us with our busy lives can benefit from using Rhodiola Rosea supplements. This plant grows in cold regions such as Siberia and is an herb that increases the body’s resistance to stress by reducing levels of cortisol. You can take it in supplement form or serve up this recipe called Dr. Oz’s stress shot: Add Rhodiola rosea “chips” to vodka and steep for a least 24 hours until it turns pink. Pour on shot in a shot glass. Rhodiola Rosea chips and supplement tablets are available online or in health food stores.
- Himalayan Salt Inhaler to boost immunity – Dr Oz first recommended this alternative treatment back in 2010. The Himalayan Salt Inhaler helps moisturize your mucas membranes and airways, calming them and making them better able to function and clear out the bad stuff which can cause infections. We’ve provided a picture of the Himalayan Salt Inhaler, which comes preloaded with the salt. You must use the inhaler once per day for 15-20 minutes, with retailers recommending night time to be the most beneficial. Best prices are available online.
