William Kate Gifts – Prince William and Kate Middleton or Duchess Catherine are regifting wedding gifts with a Land Rover going to MREW.
Some of William and Kate’s gifts from the Royal Wedding are being regifted with the couple recognizing the value of their usefulness to other organizations;case in point a Mountain Rescue Team Land Rover went to Mountain Rescue England and Wales who in turn handed it over to the Glossop Mountain Rescue Team.
The Prince William Duchess Catherine regift of the Range Rover to the Glossop Mountain Rescue Team comes at a great time for the organization who had a vehicle, but only expected it to last another six months.
The Glossop crew was delighted to be the recipients of the Prince William Duchess Catherine regift and issued this statement:
“The vehicle will be greatly appreciated. Our present vehicle only has a shelf life of about six months and we were embarking on a major fundraising exercise to raise more than £45,000 to replace it. We are delighted with their generosity.”
Hopefully William and Kate’s example in re-gifting this vehicle will inspire other wealthy couples to take similar actions–whether to benefit charities or individuals.
